Sacred Mountain
We were commissioned to create a brand identity and art direction for Sacred Mountain. Cinematic inspirations thread through their music and our research. From the Dollar Trilogy(FoD, FaFDM, & TG, TB &TU) to the surrealist heroism and mysticism in Jodorowskys’ Holy Mountain. Comparatively inspired by the lust fuelled, societal critique and symbolism in Oliver Stones' Natural Born Killers.
The hand-drawn lettering inspired by the DT films and old b movies charged the identity design with nostalgia and counterculture references. Something that is at the heart of the music and the writing of SM.
